About

Hi there, I’m Ruthie Ayzenberg!

LMFT, LPCC, PMH-C, RYT500

I’m a California-licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Professional Clinical Counselor, Perinatal Mental Health-Certified, and Registered Yoga Teacher.

Long before becoming a therapist and yoga teacher, I was on a psychospiritual path towards growth as a human being. Over the years, I have been fortunate to learn from many wonderful teachers and mentors, who have helped shape my thinking and therapeutic style.

One of my biggest values is sharing the helpful tools that I picked up along the way with others who are seeking to restore health of the mind, body, and spirit. I remain deeply committed to working on myself through daily practices and lifelong training.

After finishing psychology grad school in 2013, I’ve worked with kids, teens, families, and adults with l challenges of all kinds. Over time, I’ve shifted from the symptom-management-based medical model to more holistic model, which taps into your innate healing capacity by aligning your body, mind, spirit, and environment.

From the countryside of Russia, to the mystical landscape of Israel, to the workspaces of Silicon Valley, I’ve truly learned to accept everyone just as they are, as everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have.

I believe that laughter, creativity, and joy have a space in the therapy room as much as the difficult emotions.  My goal is to provide you with therapy that is focused, effective, and organic. To do this, we use a variety of techniques, depending on your needs and preferences (see modalities).

I really enjoy this line of work and practice what I preach. All the techniques and tools I use with clients are ones that I have tried out for myself and found helpful. If we choose to work together, I will do my best to support you, guide you, and welcome all that you bring.
